Convincing People to Follow Christ

Have you ever tried convincing a Muslim person or anyone that wasn’t Christian that they should follow Jesus or else they will parish in hell forever? If you haven’t, let me tell you a story of how I did with my aunt. Last summer, my awesome teacher Renee Young, give me a bulletin that read Seek Him Summer Challenge and one of the challenges inside the bulletin was to talk to an unbeliever about Christ, so I decided to talk to my aunt about Jesus since she was an unbeliever. My mom had to help me because my aunt speaks French and so do I but I can’t speak it well like my mom does. I told her about how Jesus died for her sins on the cross and how he’s able to forgive her of her sins. When I was finished, I asked her if she would give her life to Jesus and make him her lord and savior. She told me she would like to, but if she did her husband would divorce her and she didn’t want that to happen. That broke my heart because she was choosing between following Christ or having her husband divorce her for following Christ. This is to tell you that if someone asks you to choose between god or something else, choose god no matter what because you are already married to god and he’s all that you need.

    Wow! This is so deep! I've never had to persuade a family member to follow Jesus! I can only imagine how you felt. It's tough making decisions, but we need to know that God will always come through. We should depend on Him no matter what and always choose Him. Love you Rebecca! God bless you! What Does It Mean To Be a Christ Follower

To start of, I grew up in a Christian home and was raised by my parents who taught me to always put god first in my life because without him my life is meaningless. When I was a child my mom bought me a kids Bible with pictures on the other side of the page so that I can imagine what was happening through the pictures. The day that I truly understood what Christ did for me on the cross was the day that I truly surrendered my life to Christ because I wanted to be a part of his family and I wanted to live for him until the day that he calls me home.
